This video showcases the final result of our proprietary in-house technical solution handling environmental destruction within the game "Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed." The destruction is pre-rendered and not occurring in real-time. All simulation processes are executed using SideFX Houdini and integrated into Unreal Engine through customized scripts. Our system manages collision dynamics around destructible objects, while the subsequent rendering processes are all shader-based. I was responsible for creation of the tool (HDA), managed the Houdini setup, handled Unreal tooling & UI and contributed to various stages of the Unreal integration, making sure users could interact smoothly.
